Does MVP Healthcare Cover Rehab?

MVP Healthcare has a huge network of over 500,000 providers, including more than 19,000 regional healthcare providers and facilities that include substance use treatment. MVP Healthcare typically does cover drug and alcohol treatment and various other substance use services. All plans must include coverage for behavioral health such as counseling, mental health inpatient services, and substance use disorder treatment. 

Addiction treatment services include inpatient and outpatient rehab, partial hospitalization (PHP), detoxification, individual and group therapy services, and continuing care. Depending on your insurance plan with MVP Healthcare, alcohol and drug rehab may be covered partially or fully. Your treatment coverage could be from 28 to 45 days. For opioid use disorder, we provide monthly injections of Suboxone, Buprenorphine, or Sublocade. To treat alcohol use disorder, Naltrexone or Vivitrol monthly injections are available. These medications are typically covered by insurance. 

If you require MAT, it is typically an ongoing, long-term treatment plan. Generally, MAT also requires mental and behavioral health services.
